Order of judging: 4-H/FFA Meat Pens; 4-H/FFA Does, Bucks; 4-H Cloverbud Open Class
PREMIUMS: 1st-$3.00, 2nd-$2.00, 3rd-$1.00, 4th-Ribbon
Entry fees in this department are:
4-H Cloverbud Open Class - $2.00 per Single entry.
4-H/FFA single entry - $1.00. 4-H/FFA Meat Pen - $2.00
- 4-H & FFA entries are due August 1, 2024.
- The General Livestock rules will apply to 4-H/FFA members.
- All rabbits must be owned at least 30 days prior to the fair.
- Only ARBA recognized pure breeds from the current “ARBA Standard of Perfection” may be entered in the show. Crossbreed rabbits will only be accepted in the 4-H/FFA Meat Pens. The Judge and Superintendent will make classes, as they consider necessary. Classes with less than 4 entries will be combined.
- Rabbits will be shown by exhibitor only. Exhibitors are REQUIRED to be present and show their animal.
- Any animal showing signs of disease, infection, parasite, or open sores or does about to kindle will not be accepted. No breeding of rabbits allowed in barns.
- Animals will be exhibited as singles with the exception of the meat pens.
- An exhibitor may enter no more than four (4) entries/pens in the 4-H/FFA Meat Pen Class
- Exhibitor must feed and water their own animals.
- Each rabbit shall be permanently tattooed. Tattoos must be legible and in the left ear. Tattoos will be checked and must correspond with tattoos recorded on registration. Non-tattooed rabbits are unacceptable for the show.
- Rabbits must have tattoo at least one week prior to fair. No fresh tattoos will be allowed.
- Rabbits must be in place by 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12. Rabbits will be released at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 17.
- All 4-H/FFA Meats Pens will be weighed in at 11:00 am Monday, August 12.
- Absolutely no substitutions may be made.
- Exhibitors may only use zip ties to secure cages.
- There must be a minimum of 7 4-H/FFA Meat Pens in order to guarantee one sale slot. The Grand Champion 4-H/FFA Meat pen will receive a belt buckle.

Single Breeds-4 Class (Senior and Junior classes only) & Recognized colors
Four Class Rabbits:
Senior Class - 6 months of age and over & meets weight requirements for specific breed.
Junior Class - Under 6 months of age & meets requirements for specific breed.
*There shall be separate classes for bucks and does in each of the classifications.

Six Class Rabbits:
Senior Class- 8 months old and over & meets weight requirements for specific breed
Intermediate Class- Older than 6 months but less than 8 months of age & meets weight requirements for specific breed.
Junior Class- Less than 6 months of age & meets requirements for specific breed.
*There shall be separate classes for bucks and does in each of the classifications.

4-H/FFA Meat Pen-4-H/FFA Division
Will consist of three (3) Rabbits not to exceed 10 weeks of age. Each rabbit shall weigh a minimum of 3.5 pounds and no more than 5.5 pounds. These rabbits may not be entered in any other class. The date of birth must be provided on entry.
